What Happens During a Commercial Cleaning Walkthrough?

A good commercial cleaning walkthrough identifies the scope, access, floors, restrooms, glass, trash, supplies and facility-specific details before pricing.

A walkthrough is where the quote becomes real.

Square footage matters, but it is only one part of pricing. Two facilities with the same size can require very different labor because of restrooms, equipment density, flooring, glass, trash flow and current condition.

What we look at

  • Entry, reception and common areas
  • Training or work floors and specialty surfaces
  • Restrooms, locker or changing areas
  • Mirrors, glass, doors and touchpoints
  • Trash locations and disposal route
  • Access windows, keys, alarms and after-hours expectations
  • What supplies are provided by the client versus the cleaning company
  • Existing buildup and any areas that need a reset before recurring maintenance

The most important questions

We want to know what the client already considers a pain point, what their team handles during the day and what would make them say the cleaning relationship is working after the first month.

Why this protects both sides

A clear walkthrough produces a clear written scope. That makes pricing more accurate, reduces scope creep and gives the client something concrete to hold the cleaning company accountable to.
